This is the Kaithari double mundu for the man who doesn't need an occasion. Off-white handloom cotton, and a border that makes exactly one decision: black. A bold jet black kara, a fine black line running beside it, and nothing else. No kasavu, no colour, no negotiation.

It is the most graphic mundu in the collection. The contrast between the ivory body and the jet black border is absolute — clean in a way that reads as confidently modern as it does traditionally Malayali. This is the mundu that a non-Indian eye notices first. It is also the one a Keralite reaches for on a Tuesday morning without thinking twice.

Four metres of fine handloom cotton from Balaramapuram. He drapes easily, wears all day, washes well. This is the everyday mundu done properly — not a compromise, just a different kind of considered.
